The US NIH led the launch of the Patient-reported Outcomes Measurement Information System(PROMIS) and established the PROMIS International Alliance PHO in 2004. Professor Yuan Changrong was authorized as the only Chinese representative by PHO in 2018, and committed to promoting the standardization and application of PROMIS in China.
