Professor Bao Zhijun is the Vice president of Huadong Hospital, Chief Physician, Professor, an interdisciplinary doctoral advisor in Internal Medicine (Gastroenterology) and Geriatrics at Fudan University. Currently, he is a disciplinary leader in the field of geriatric medicine in Shanghai and the chief of a national key research and development project. He has been selected as a leading talent in Shanghai's medical field and a leading talent in Shanghai health science popularization. He is the deputy director of the National Geriatric Disease Clinical Medical Research Center and the director of the Shanghai Geriatric Clinical Key Laboratory. In the past five years, he has received funding from key research and development programs of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China, National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission, Shanghai Municipal Health Commission, Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, et al. Professor Bao and his research team is working on the standards and comprehensive intervention of elderly frailty in China, the mechanism of cellular aging related to fatty liver, elderly health assessment system, comprehensive intervention research on elderly sarcopenia, and evidence-based decision-making research on elderly frailty care Evidence based nursing research, etc. In recent years, he has published over 100 papers in core journals at home and abroad as lead author or corresponding author, including 29 SCI papers and 8 national invention patents. Offering elective courses for graduate and undergraduate students in 'Clinical Practice of Geriatrics' and 'Progress in Basic Geriatrics', among which 'Clinical Practice of Geriatrics' is a key course of the Municipal Education Commission. Undertake the teaching of courses such as 'Internal Medicine C', 'Diagnosis', and 'Clinical Decision and Case Analysis of Geriatrics', and he has published popular science books such as 'Knowledge and Action Integration Health Centenary - Home-based Health Self Management Manual for Elderly People', 'Q&A of Helicobacter pylori Infection', and 'Detailed Discussion of Musculosis'. He has trained 50 postdoctoral, doctoral, and master's students.
