BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Jia is vice dean of School of Nursing, Fudan University, with main responsibility of nursing graduate education. She is an associate director of the Psychological Committee of Shanghai Nursing Association, and serves in the Nursing and Care Branch of the Chinese Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics, and also acts as editorial board member or reviewer of several international or Chinese core nursing journals.

Dr. Jia has 4 years of clinical experiences as a psychiatric nurse in Shanghai Mental Health Center, and 19 years of teaching and research experiences in the School of Nursing, Fudan University. She also participated in the editing of 20 textbooks, with most of them regarding psychiatric and mental health nursing. Her research interests also focused on the symptom management and health promotion for individuals with mental health problems, and has conducted or been involved in more than 20 research projects for patients with major depressive disorder, children with aggressive behavior, and the elderly with neurocognitive disorder. She has published more than 20 articles on peer-reviewed International or Chinese core nursing journals during the recent five years.

TEACHING & RESEARCH

Teaching:

Dr. Jia is mainly involved in teaching of “Psychiatric Nursing”, “Health Behavior Theory and Healthcare Education”, “Health Assessment”, “Geriatric Nursing”, and some other courses for undergraduate students and postgraduate students.

Research Grants:

  1. Dr. Jia is mainly conducting or involved in in the projects of “Construction of social intergenerational support model interaction for empty nest elderly based on the ecological systems theory”, “Research on the evaluation system, impact mechanism, and improvement path of the mental health literacy for the elderly”, and “Research on the impact mechanism, early warning model, and community embedded intervention of family resilience for the disabled elderly based on family advantages”.
