From May 29 to June 16, 2023, with the support from Office of Global Partnerships (Key Projects Development Fund), 12 undergraduates from the School of Nursing of the University of Hong Kong had an exchange activity for 3 weeks. During the activity, the students, in the lead of teachers and volunteers, visited Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center, ZhongShan Hospital, Children's Hospital, EYE & ENTHospital, Obstetrics & Gynecology Hospital, Huashan Hospital, Dapuqiao Community Health Service Center, Shimen Second Road Community Health Care Center and other medical service institutions and learned about the construction of Fudan university affiliated medical units and nursing subject development.

Under the guidance of Zhao Ying, vice dean of the School of Nursing, Fudan university,

students went to Shanghai Qixiang Children's Development Center and the Third Social Welfare Home to carry out volunteer service activities for special children and the elderly.  They learned the evaluation and treatment services of special children, made snacks with the special children, made incense cards and balls, chatted and learned health exercises with the elderly.

At the same time, students also visited Fudan University Campus and Shanghai Museum, and participated in the course study together with undergraduate and graduate students, feeling the diverse teaching resources and strong learning atmosphere of Fudan nursing in all aspects.

On June 16th, the three-week visiting exchange activity was successfully concluded. Students from the School of Nursing of the University of Hong Kong shared their feeling during this period, and shared the different undergraduate training programs of the two universities. At the end of the activity, Zhao Ying, vice dean issued certificates to Hong Kong college students.

From the aspects of nursing education, clinical practice and scientific research innovation, this activity shows the advanced teaching concept and qualified education resources of the School of Nursing of Fudan University. The activity helps students understand the setting and characteristics of the professional courses, injects new vitality and impetus into the development of nursing education, enhances the friendship between the School of Nursing, and promotes the deep cooperation and communication between the two undergraduates. We look forward to more in-depth exchanges and cooperation between the nursing majors of  two schools in the future, so that we can jointly promote the development of nursing disciplines and contribute to the cause of health in China.
